Re sensor 1 exhaust temp bank 1 G235. – 09-05-2019, 10:17 AM. As it's No1 sensor would have thought it would be on the exhaust manifold before the turbo. If you can find the sensor, remove the electrical connector then run VCDS again. The fault will change to " Short to + or Short to ground " for the sensor you have disconnected.
