95 325ic Comvertible I have a 95 E36 convertible with a semi auto top. The top has stopped working. I tried to re-sync the top. I lowered the top manually and reset both motors. I turned ignition two clicks with the top button held down and nothing happened. Silence. I raised the top manually and tried to lower it just to see what would happen.
I've been having issues lately with my 1999 E36 323i Convertible and I was hoping someone could help. Ok, first signs of problems were 6 months ago, the functionality of the fully automatic hood was intermittent. Sometimes the roof would fold down OK, and other times nothing would happen at all when the button was pressed, not even a flashing
Windows work fine. They only pulsed down slowly when I was holding the roof switch down. I will try the fuses first. Im assuming the top control module is where I said behind the rear interior panel under the speaker. Many thanks.

e36 restring convertible headliner. I have to try here on this and am not a usual poster. It is winter and I am fixing the headliner in my 1996 328Ic. It is a semi automatic top. Pretty straight forward and have ordered the, "dog ears" (Bavauto) and have glued them into the headliner. I am keeping the current headliner as it is in good shape
Hey Ya Guys i Have An S Reg M3 Convertible and a friend decided to pull the Roof Motor dis-engageing lever . . . and i didnt realise so when it came to closing the roof after the day had finished . . . the bin top poped open about an inch and then stoped . . . because it was the evening i had to close the roof manualy but the only problem is . . . the bin lid now will not lock when i try to Find and plug any leaks. Then move on to the trunk and do the same thing. Along with all the usual rubber gaskets, places you didn't think might leak include the rear lights, the trunk vents behind the bumpers, and the antenna grommet. E36 DICE MediaBridge BT and iPod support Photo location of the cabrio drain holes. Refit the interior and the exterior trim pieces and voila, a converted E36 3-Series convertible! Now getting back to the rationale behind this backyard conversion, the main driver behind going to the trouble of hacking up a sedan into a convertible instead of buying factory-built cabriolet in the first place was simply due to cost. 0Cd4.
